In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean MWG Technologies Ltd.

What the site is

Uplifting News is a free list of good-news headlines about the UK. We collect them from the public RSS and Atom feeds of the publishers on the sources page. Headlines are chosen automatically, by a keyword filter and, for general news feeds, by an AI model. Nobody rewrites a headline, and every one links to the publisher’s own article.

We do not write the stories, and we are not connected to the publishers unless we say so.

Other websites

Headlines link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, and what you do there is under their terms.

Using the site fairly

You may use the site, and its RSS feed in a feed reader, for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not:

• use it in any way that is unlawful, or that harms the site or other people using it;
• try to get unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it;
• copy large parts of the site automatically (scraping), or send so many requests that it slows the site down for others.

Content and credits

The design of the site and the way the list is put together belong to us. Headlines, and any summaries or images shown, belong to their publishers and are shown only as far as each publisher’s terms allow.

Our responsibility to you

The site is provided free of charge and “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be available or free from errors, or that every headline is accurate, current or good news.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Otherwise, we are not responsible for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, or that comes from relying on a headline or on another website. If you use the site for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, business, revenue or opportunity.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
